VirtualBox 虛擬電腦，練重灌、測軟體、玩病毒，不怕搞壞電腦！

VirtualBox是個免費的「虛擬電腦」軟體，主要是創建一個模擬的PC個人電腦的硬體環境，讓我們可以在虛擬的 電腦硬體中安裝作業系統、測試軟體或病毒等，透過VirtualBox安裝好的作業系統可以跟你現在的電腦系統同時運作，而且兩個系統的資料與程式不會互 相干擾或影響，算是一個完全獨立的作業環境讓我們測試各種軟體或功能。

隨身碟病毒的預防針-EFix

之前從網路上看到人家分享的 EFix 小軟體，可以用來刪除隨身碟病毒，並且作一點預防措施，真的很不錯用！前幾天發現已經有網頁出現了：reinfors - EFix 下載位置及說明。這邊是網頁上面簡單列出的功能：

• 刪除各磁碟存在的Autorun.inf檔以及刪除mountppoint2機碼

• 關閉自動撥放功能，避免隨插即中獎

• 修復隱藏檔無法正常顯示的功能

• 有刪除小量病毒檔案的能力，但不一定刪的掉

• Hosts重置並增加一些惡意網址的黑名單

• 刪除除了預設和白名單以外的所有ShellExecuteHooks和對應ShellExecuteHooks的CLISD機碼

最近幫人家裝機後都要執行一下，順便留一份在電腦裡面。不然隨身碟病毒實在太毒了！

UPDATE 2007/12/23: 不過，要注意的是，目前只支援 Windows XP 喔！

VirtualBox - Spawning Session 解法 in Ubuntu

在安裝完一次的 Kernel 更新之後，VirtualBox 就出現問題了，啟動虛擬機的時候會跑一個視窗，上面寫著 Spawning Session 然後一直卡在進度 0 % 沒有動作，如果用舊版的 Kernel 就可以正常執行，試著找了一下，在官網也沒有找到什麼解答：

然後嘗試想用命令啟動 (覺得是 Management UI 的問題)，發現這麼一段錯誤訊息：

jty@ubuntu:~$ VBox
WARNING: The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module
available for the current kernel (2.6.27-4-generic) or it failed to load.
Please recompile the kernel module and install it by
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed.
Unknown application - VBox

原來是因為 Kernel Module 的版本不對了，所以才出現狀況的，按著上面的指令重新編譯一次 Kernel Module，就可以了…

PS: 注意指令的大小寫是不同意義的！　eg: VBox # vbox

無法啟動 Windows 防火牆服務

如果要重新安裝 Windows 防火牆， 請依照下列步驟執行：

1. 請按一下 [ 開始 ] ， 按一下 執行 ， 輸入 cmd 然後按一下 [ 確定 ]
2. 在命令提示字元， 輸入下列命令列， 並按 ENTER 鍵：
   Rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf
3. 重新啟動 Windows。
4. 請按一下 [ 開始 ] ， 按一下 執行 ， 輸入 cmd 然後按一下 [ 確定 ]
5. 在命令提示字元中輸入下列命令，然後按 ENTER：
   Netsh firewall reset
6. 請按一下 [ 開始 ] ， 按一下 執行 ， 輸入 firewall.cpl 然後按 ENTER 鍵，在 [ Windows 防火牆 ] 對話方塊中， 按一下 [ 開啟 (建議選項) ] 及 [ 確定 ]。

Bridging VirtualBox 1.6.2 on Ubuntu 8.04.1

前言：VirtualBox 安裝完成後，網路的初始設定為 NAT 模式，如此的設定 guest 可上網但無法連線網路芳鄰，host 則無法上網。必須改為 Bridging 模式才可解決此問題，設定如下：

The steps I mentioned here is assumed that the host system is behind a router and the ip addresses are distributed by DHCP from the router.

Step 1 :

Install the required package for the bridged network on the host.

sudo apt-get install uml-utilities bridge-utils

Issue the following command to stop the network interface.

sudo invoke-rc.d networking stop

Edit the /etc/network/interfaces by the below command.

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

The content of the file should be like this. That is, append the line of 「auto br0」 and the rest to the end of /etc/network/interfaces. The codes are for bridging eth0 and you can change it as required.

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual

auto br0
iface br0 inet dhcp
bridge_ports eth0
bridge_fd 9
bridge_hello 2
bridge_maxage 12
bridge_stp off

Restart the network interface.

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

Step 2 :

Still on the host. Issue the following commands.

sudo VBoxAddIF vbox0 `whoami` br0
VBoxManage modifyvm "My VM" -hostifdev1 vbox0
sudo chmod 0666 /dev/net/tun

* where 「My VM」 is the name of your guest (eg myself is 「WinXP」). The network interface should be Host Interface.

Make sure, at the GUI VirtualBox panel, select 「Network」, Select 「Host Interface」 at 「Attached to」 and fill in the blank to 「vbox0」 at 「Interface Name」.
